What is Uncode UI?

Short answers about Uncode UI, the React and Tailwind component catalogue at uncodeui.com. The full list of components is in llms-full.txt and in the component index.
What is Uncode UI?
Uncode UI is a catalogue of 1,747 React and Tailwind CSS components. You see each one running live, press copy, and paste it into your project. It collects 14 libraries in one place and adds components written for the catalogue itself.
Is Uncode UI free?
There is a free plan: four copies a week, no card, and the whole catalogue open to browse and preview. Subscriptions remove the weekly limit: $12 for two months or $60 for a year. Browsing, searching and previewing are never counted.
What licence do the components have?
Imported libraries keep their own licence, all of them MIT, Apache or ISC, and the copyright notice stays with the file. Components written for Uncode UI may be used in client work and in products you sell, under the terms of use. The catalogue itself may not be republished as a competing catalogue. Libraries whose licence forbids selling are left out.
How do I use a component?
Open it in the catalogue, check the live preview, press copy and paste it into your project. Install the npm packages listed on the component page. You can also run npx shadcn@latest add https://uncodeui.com/r/<name>.json or connect the MCP server at https://uncodeui.com/mcp to Claude, Cursor, Windsurf or Lovable and ask for a component in the chat.
Does it work with Next.js, Vite and other frameworks?
The React components follow the shadcn/ui conventions: a components/ui folder, Tailwind CSS and a cn() helper. Any React project that meets those conventions runs them, including Next.js and Vite.
Is it an alternative to shadcn/ui?
It complements it. shadcn/ui is one of the libraries inside the catalogue, and Uncode UI adds the other libraries and the animated, visual components in one searchable place. See the comparison with shadcn/ui.
How does it compare with 21st.dev and Tailwind UI?
The three pages Uncode UI vs 21st.dev and Uncode UI vs Tailwind UI set out what each one is, how it is paid for and where it fits, using public information and the date it was checked.
Are the previews real?
Yes. Every card is the component itself, compiled and running in a sandbox, not a screenshot. An audit mounts every component and the result is published on the What was checked page, including the ones that do not render.
Who runs Uncode UI and how do I contact them?
Uncode UI is an independent project. Write to uncodeui@gmail.com or use the contact page.
